Not to be a total bitch, but "12am" is just unacceptable from BPB. When it's 12 o' clock, it's either 12 noon or 12 midnight, unless you're from ugh Bandra or above.

In the United States, noon is often called "12:00 p.m." and midnight "12:00 a.m.". With this convention, thinkikng of "12" as "0" makes the system logical.
