Among the many Mumbai stores packaging and marketing “natural living” is Omved, a green lifestyle brand that sells everything from organic beauty and sleep products to post-partum kits and meditation mats. Dropping the PVC, chemicals, toxins, artificial dyes and pretty much every other planet-plaguing evil from their products, Omved is a tree-hugger’s shopping feast. We back their baby range of organic crib sheets and swaddling cloths, healing rajais filled with sleep-inducing herbs and PVC-free yoga mats. Their line of holistic vedic jewellery and Navratna pendants for good fortune seem a little out there, though, as does their service that promises to balance our inner “chakras”.

After their Phoenix Mills and Napeansea Road branches, Omved’s latest store just opened up at Inorbit Mall, Vashi. Coming soon: Bandra and Juhu outlets.

Also fighting the pro-planet battle is the month-old Mother Earth at SOBO Central. Armed with pesticide-free fruits, veggies and organic pulses, this two-level store also stocks home products sourced from various NGOs, jewellery and clothing. Natural buy is their war cry.

Peel off your gym tights and let your skin breathe in LHcare’s Ayurganic range of exercise and lounge wear by designer duo Lecoanet Hemant. Kala Ghoda’s high fashion store Muse is stocking these 100% cotton airy threads for men and women, apparently dyed with active herbs that penetrate the skin to purify blood and energise the system. Yoga pants with the ability to enhance your metabolism and boost your immunity. A bit of stretch? Maybe, but they’re comfy as hell.
