When: You want to go pocket-watching.

pASTRIES

What: Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Le15 catering, call 9820995543, start at Rs 550 per head; Tart, call Ashiana at 9821015510, start at Rs 450 per head.

Why: bpb invent! Host your own version of Lewis Carroll’s party - red hibiscus tea, multi-hued macaroons, “Eat me” cakes, magic mushroom quiches, heart-club-spade shaped cookies – catered by the city’s coolest new bakers. Tart does a fun version as well, with signature cupcakes, giant lollipops, cool crockery and more. Also look out for their new store, opening in Bandra this month!

When: You want to Depp-Depp-Depp!

What: Heartbreaker necklace, Bungalow 8, 17 Arther Bunder Road, Colaba, Rs 1,500.

What: These 3D heart pendants in swirling, luscious colours – red, purple, black, ochre - are deceptively simple, and bound to draw every eye in the room.

When: You want to be the Queen of Haars.

bORN

What: The Village, World Trade Centre, Arcade Building, Cuffe Parade, call 9870308227.

Why: This Indian restaurant hidden deep inside the concrete fortress of WTC will transport you to another world. Here, yellow huts with thatched roofs jostle with bright pink bamboo canes and garishly jovial trucks. Wonderland? We’re not sure, but it certainly deserves exploration.

When: Slated to open next week.

***

What: Surreal bookcases, call Sheetal Bhatija from Threads 'n' Homez on 9819995027 to order, start at Rs 3,500.

Why: Lewis Carroll would approve of these trippy shelves that appear to be leaning, melting, twirling. They can also be shaped like violins, alphabets, and more.

When: You want to book-a-prize.

Event Round-Up: Silent outdoor party at Blue Frog on March 12; Green beer at Bonobo on March 17 for St Patrick’s Day; booze deals for IPL III at Olive Bar and Kitchen (Bandra and Mahalaxmi).
